Ola Sage Elected New IT SCC Chair
Silver Spring, MD – April 4, 2016 – The Information Technology Sector Coordinating Council (IT SCC) has elected Ola Sage as its chair. Ms. Sage is the founder and CEO of two IT and cybersecurity companies — CyberRx and e-Management. The IT SCC consists of leading IT companies, professional services firms, and trade associations that represent the IT sector to the Federal Government, including the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), on homeland security matters. The IT SCC also addresses strategies for mitigating cybersecurity threats and risks to the critical infrastructure of the U.S.
“It’s a great honor to be elected chair,” said Ms. Sage. “As a small business owner, I see this new role with IT SCC as a great opportunity to make sure that the interests of the IT private sector and small businesses are part of the cybersecurity conversation and solutions. I look forward to working collaboratively with the government to help business of all sizes become more cyber-ready.”
The IT SCC was established in 2006 to bring companies, associations, government and other key IT-sector participants together regularly to coordinate strategic activities and to communicate a range of sector perspectives about infrastructure protection, response, and recovery that are broadly relevant to the IT critical infrastructure sector.
