CyberRx CEO, Ola Sage, joined Ahmed Masud, CEO of Saf.ai, Chor-Ching Fan, CEO of Rizkly, and Will Durkee Director of Security Solutions at TSC Advantage today to address a room full of small business leaders on the importance and methods to protect their businesses. Jeff Greene, the new Director of the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) moderated the panel.
The panel discussed a variety of topics ranging from who should ‘own’ cybersecurity in a small organization, what set of cybersecurity practices should small businesses implement, to whether small companies should have a cyber liability policy. To close each panelist was asked to share one thing they would want to tell the audience about cybersecurity or the risks they face.
“Small businesses are devastated in the face of significant disruption, damage, or theft from a cyber-attack,” said Ola Sage, CEO of CyberRx.” That is why I believe it is critical for small and medium-sized businesses to conduct a cybersecurity risk assessment at least once a year to understand what their high risks are and learn what they can do to mitigate or eliminate the damage that could occur before the risks are realized. Knowing your risks can literally be the difference between staying in business or shutting the doors.”
The audience included M&T Bank’s small and medium business clients as well as the general business community. Special Agent Mark Marik of the United States Secret Service was the keynote presenter.
